January 22nd 1998 a day I'll never forget my husband and I went to the x-ray department together I was having a prenatal ultrasound he was having a brain scan it was the most emotional day of our life we had something both of us the size of a golf ball growing inside he had a chemical reaction in his brain he was diagnosed with a brain tumor this was round two of trauma for us five years prior we had our first traumatic incident we were in a hiking accident he crushed his leg hit his head and lost his left arm as a new mom with a toddler
a baby on the way living in a new city with a sick husband and no job it was a very uncertain time for us we had to dig deep in our core six months prior Mike came home from work one day and he said why don't you get your real estate license I was very excited sign me up my life was about to change before our eyes before the eyes of our family and our friends it would never be the same the action that I took that day the hell yeah that I said out loud was going to be a bridge through a very difficult
time the single action the single decision that I made to become an entrepreneur was about to open a world of possibility for me it gave me the confidence to navigate his health situation and balance it with having a young family it gave me the power to create my world and it gave me the opportunity to provide for my family I was determined to create my life design my life not react to it I was not going to become a victim of circumstance I was determined to hold my vision as a realtor I have the opportunity to see people transform all the time sometimes to a
life they want other times not we explore all the possibilities we look at options and we make the best choice and that is our Bridge I have the opportunity to build Bridges with people all the time There's an opportunity to create a life that's bigger than ourselves a legacy a future an opportunity for others today Mike is the CFO of our company he trains our new recruits and he still brings me to tears with his sense of humor have the courage to be the transformational artist in your own life take the step and Trust in the power of the momentum on the other side take
