Najwa Zebian is a Lebanese-Canadian author, poet, speaker and educator. Her books include the bestselling poetry collections Mind Platter, The Nectar of Pain and Sparks of Phoenix, and Welcome Home, a guide to building a home within yourself. She came to Canada at sixteen, became a teacher and a doctoral candidate in educational leadership, and began writing to help her first students, a group of young refugees. Drawing on her own experiences of displacement, discrimination and abuse, she encourages readers to live, love and create fearlessly.
Najwa has judged a Speaker Slam® competition, scoring speakers on story, delivery and impact.
Also appeared as the Words of Wisdom speaker at Courage 2019.
