Women Rock the Night: Passion, Purpose, Perspective

One month after the very first Speaker Slam® at Revival Bar, the competition came back for its second event. Billed as Women Rock the Night, it brought an all-women lineup to the Revival Bar stage on the theme of Passion, Purpose, Perspective, and proved that the first night was not a one-off.

Maria Racelis, whose event Share, Love, Celebrate had inspired Dan and Rina to start a competition of their own, sat on the panel for the second Speaker Slam®.

Unforgettable Moments

Co-hosts Dan Shaikh and Rina Rovinelli were still making Speaker Slam® t-shirts by hand with a heat press at the time. Within two months the competition would be running at maximum capacity with people left standing, and by the following November it would hold its first Grand Slam.
