Every Speaker Slam® competition brings a new lineup of voices to the stage. On October 21, 2020 at Lincoln Alexander Theatre, Hamilton, 10 speakers competed on the theme of Family.

Jonathan Andrews
1st Place at Family 2020
Working with clients like TD, RBC, and hundreds of Schools across Canada, Jonathan is an award winning youth advocate. Standing inside a commitment to shifting our collective context surrounding mental health, Jonathan see's every community as an opportunity to create a safe space for mental health conversations. When he's not speaking you can find him playing guitar, gardening with his dad, or dancing with his roommate on the subway platforms of Toronto.
Merav Richter
2nd Place at Family 2020
Merav Richter is a renaissance woman. After her first career traveling the world, she decided to switch gears to her true love - telling stories. Since publishing three award-winning books, the most recent with her 9-year-old daughter, she now mentors Speakers, Coaches, and other rebels to write, publish and profit from their best-selling books, without breaking their spirits or their banks. Merav enjoys finding fresh and funny ways to embrace all of life's "turbulent" moments.
Adonis Rosalle
3rd Place at Family 2020
Adonis Rosalle brings the show in every project he touches.An automotive consultant at Downtown Chrysler and Public speaker through his own brand " The Wonderful Speaking Company". Be prepared to have your senses rocked, your mind challenged and your heart fully engaged. Buckle Up. It's going to be a great ride.
Sharon Babineau
Inspirational Speaker, Decorated Soldier (Retired), Corporate Wellness Facilitator
Sharon Babineau is an author, motivational speaker, and decorated military soldier. Her most cherished role is being a mother. Sharon's life experience has taken her around the world and informed the perspective and wisdom she shares. She is the founder of Maddie's Everlasting Wish a not-for-profit started in her daughter's memory. Sharon is the recipient of “Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Medal” and “Canadian Sovereign Medal for Volunteers” for her work at home and in Africa.

Peter prides himself on being a father, husband, & friend. He's driven by making a difference at home, the community & the world. For him there's no greater gift than human connection. Public Speaking is a way to tap into that connection. He's a Toastmaster, Rotarian, 100 Men of Oshawa, runner and loves Rock 'n Roll. Stephen is a proud Dad. His two boys have inspired him to take to the stage at Speaker Slam. Stephen is an account executive for a Logistics company. He also is a founder and facilitator of a youth public speaking program called e3. Stephen has competed as a Toastmaster in many contests and looks forward to competing in a different arena.
Joseph Fackenheim
Coach, Inspirational Speaker, Writer
Joseph couldn’t hack school. Language barriers, his peculiarity, undiagnosed ADHD. So he became an actor, got an MA in Classical Acting (sans high school diploma), and returned to teach using theatrical tools. Joseph worked with gifted students, at-risk youth, corporate and welfare organizations. He has performed on every sort of stage/street for going on 25 years. Joseph wants to harness his knowledge, technique and experience towards helping others be heard as they know they could.

When she isn’t being a typical mom by schlepping kids to and from, you’ll find her curled up on the sofa with hubby singing to his guitar.
