When the night's winner, Mike Shoreman, left the stage on August 6th, 2019, he was crying, Rina was crying, and so was the audience. A powerful representation of the human spirit, watching a man push through overwhelming adversity.

1st Place: Mike Shoreman

Mike won and moved on to the Grand Slam. His story later became the documentary When Hope Breaks Through and a TEDx talk.

2nd Place: Jessica Mowforth

3rd Place: Helen Xenidis

Both good friends of Speaker Slam®, both beautiful people with beautiful stories, deserving of the recognition.

4th Place: Carol Schulte, who judged the very first Speaker Slam® in 2016, rounded out the top four as a competitor.

Judge's Choice: presented by Giovanni Marsico, valued at $6,000.
